Early Intervention Functional Vision Screening Tools There is a plethora of other functional vision screening tools that exist in early intervention in the United States. Some states have adopted their own state- specific vision screening tools, so providers must check their state early intervention program resources for guidance. It is critical that all programs research, pilot, and select a vision screening tool that follows best practices for this age group and meets the needs of the families they serve.
