The Expanded Core Curriculum: What We Learned at
the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind

We are three undergraduate students from Augustana College
who spent a week at the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind in St.
Augustine, Florida. We found ourselves quickly immersed in the
school's expanded core curriculum and were given the privilege of
re-telling our story at the 2016 Council for Exceptional Children
Conference in St. Louis Missouri. Following is a summary of what
we presented at the conference. To some, this may be very basic,
but to us it was a revelation.
