The original program was 8 weeks long and participants had to be independent with all of their personal hygiene, health and other life skills. The original program was funded (for a few years) with a contract from ORSC/BSVI to OSSB to support the bulk of the program. Job coaches and site development were paid directly to the local vendor, Vision and Vocational Services, by each participant's BSVI Counselor. Since 2007, many changes have been made over time to the program due to a number of variables including: changes in the state vocational rehabilitation system (ORSC/OOD); local vendor and collaborator is now Functional Training Services, Inc.; 8 week program went to 6 weeks and this 44
