VIDBE-Q Volume 65 Issue 2 18 Dr. Sandra Rosen DVIDB is delighted to recognize Dr. Sandra Rosen with our Distinguished Service Award for 2020! Dr. Rosen is coordinator of the Program in Orientation & Mobility (O&M) at San Francisco State University. She is internationally known for her work in the field, including the development of new teaching approaches in O&M and methods of teaching mobility to people who have both physical and visual impairments. Dr. Rosen has also worked with professionals internationally to develop O&M specialist preparation programs in other countries and is a frequent speaker at international conferences. She created "Step-by-Step" an interactive computer program designed to enhance the preparation of O&M specialists at the university level and has published numerous books chapters and professional articles on topics related to visual impairment. Her current research interests include the Distinguished Service Award
