; Lorem Ipsum Dolor Spring 2016 5 Students who are Deafblind There are approximately 70 students in British Columbia who are identified as students who are deafblind (BC Ministry of Education, 2015). Most students are served in their community schools by educational teams that include an intervener, a teacher of students with visual impairment, teacher of students with hearing impairment, and a teacher-consultant from the Provincial Outreach Program for Students with Deafblindness (POPDB). These specialist teachers work in collaboration with school-based teams and interveners to develop and implement programming for students who are deafblind.
