In my last President's Message, I discussed the excitement a new school year can
bring. Now we are nearing the end of a semester and it is time to do one final
assessment of progress that has been made over the last 3 months.
Let me begin by saying how grateful I am to work with such an innovative and
energetic board. They have worked very hard to maintain the momentum that we left
the 2014 convention with, and have succeeded. During the past few months, DVIDB
has experienced some first time achievements that we are very proud of.
Creation and adoption of a new DVIDB logo
The DVIDB website and social media sites now display our new name and logo
A portal for deafblindness that includes a deafblind community Google group
A podcast of a conversation with Mark Richert, Director of Public Policy at AFB
concerning what the Cogswell-Macy Act means for students who are deafblind
