; Lorem Ipsum Dolor Spring 2016 2 Background Perkins eLearning has grown in just a few short years from a small number of webcasts developed and posted in 2007 to a major initiative that is fulfilling our mission to be a leading source of online professional development and networking for teachers and parents supporting children and students who are blind or visually impaired with additional disabilities. Today, Perkins eLearning logs over 200,000 visitors per year and offers over 170 online content offerings. Learn: Earn Credit through Professional Development Opportunities There are numerous ways to receive continuing education credits for teacher re-certification through Perkins eLearning. A broad range of topics is available, from braille literacy to clothing care, and from assistive technology to CHARGE Syndrome. The presenters are experts in the field, parents, and experienced practitioners. The information is presented using a variety of platforms to suit all types of learning goals.
