this unique sibling relationship.
Ultimately, my work is a continuation of the unexpected journey that began
with the birth of my son. Every research question I pose and every family I support
is a tribute to the lessons he taught me during his life. As a parent who has
navigated the same landscape of uncertainty and hope, I remain steadfast in my
mission to enhance the lives of parents raising children with deafblindness. The
challenges may be complex, but the goal is simple: to ensure that no family ever
feels they have nowhere to turn, honoring the legacy of the son who remains my
greatest inspiration.
