Practical suggestions for implementation: ● Provide time for interdisciplinary observations, discussions and planning ● Schedule professional development on topics that are indirectly related to the specialty area, such as occupational therapists presenting about sensory integration to educators ● Prioritize interdisciplinary, play-based evaluations with a variety of specialists ● Facilitate case studies of current students, emphasizing sharing information and problem solving about how their disabilities are impacting their functioning across developmental domains ● Disseminate scholarly articles from a variety of specialty areas to all providers and plan for ongoing discussion 81
