Method
Data Source and Sample
Data were obtained from the NRTC's longitudinal study about AT in the
workplace. Using a panel design, survey data were collected annually between
2021 and 2024. Eligibility criteria for the study included being blind or having low
vision, being 21 years or older, being employed or recently employed, using AT on
the job, planning to work for the next 4 years, and living in the U.S. or Canada.
After the authors' university's Institutional Review Board determined the study
exempt from oversight, recruitment for study participants began in early 2021.
