Parker, Portland State University, atp5@pdx.edu Submission of the Concept Paper for Review The consensual validation process for the review, alignment and amendment of the original Teacher of the Deafblind (TDB) and Intervener competency sets began just over two years ago with the formation of a DVIDB validation team who agreed to coauthor and submit a concept paper to CEC's Knowledge and Skills Subcommittee (KSSC) Committee (Parker, 2020). The Division had recently revised and updated the Teacher of Students with Visual Impairment (TSVI) standards (Rhoads et al., 2017). Concurrently, the Division recognized the current DB competencies required updating and realignment with more current literature. Within CEC, the KSSC, which reports to the Professional Standards and Practice Division on Visual Impairment and Deafblindness' Review, Alignment, and Amendment Knowledge and Skills Competencies Sets for Teachers of the Deafblind and Interveners
