Tactile-Based stories can increase
student engagement during whole-
class reading groups featuring
students with significant cognitive
disabilities, including those with
visual impairments. Whole and partial
symbols can be incorporated into
schedules and individualized
education program goal assessments
of students with cortical vision
impairment to increase inclusion and
self-determination. Presenters will
share tips, examples, resources, and
tools.
