deafblindness. She has done this by ensuring that staff who provide services to children with deafblindness have appropriate skills, by helping parents learn more about the disability and how to enhance quality of life, by advocating for individuals with deafblindness, and by working to improve legislation that impacts on the life of individuals with deafblindness. She is clearly deserving of this award. 16
