In order for the research enterprise in visual impairment and blindness to proceed in a meaningful way, it is critical that stakeholders (e.g., parents, students, teachers, O&M specialists, etc.) be engaged at all points of the research process. The end goal is clear – to create a knowledge base that is firmly grounded in objective, empirically sound research.
