biggest way we have done this is through our partnership with the American Foundation for the Blind (AFB). We have also partnered with students at the University of Alabama in Huntsville to redesign our website for accessibility and to create a clearinghouse of resources for our members. Finally, we have laid important groundwork to look at how we can expand our capacity to better serve professionals that work with students who are deafblind. Stay tuned because this may include a proposal to change our name to more accurately reflect the diverse populations we serve. These are just a few things we have done to branch out so that our organization can find new sources to nourish its roots. One would think that leading a small division is easy, rest assured, it is not. In fact, there seems to be an inverse relationship between organizational size and workload.
