The BrailleNote products by HumanWare have been accepted as an important and successful tool for braille literacy tasks that students who are blind, have used for the past 15 years. In its third generation, the BrailleNote Apex is a mobile device consisting of either a braille or QWERTY keyboard and an 18 or 32 cell refreshable braille display.
