We highlight the work in the deaf-blind community
by bringing you two informative articles. Dr.
McCarthy and Ms. Bohlen provide information regarding the use of the K-Sonar for individuals
who are deaf-blind and Dr. Parker and her colleagues provide resources for improving services
for the deaf-blind through the intervener services
initiative.
Fall brought about the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the University of Pittsburgh training
program. Dr. Zimmerman has written an article
about this landmark occasion.
Ms. Croyle has written the last article in this issue
which is a celebration of a new initiative in Honduras. She is working to ensure that all students
are educated in Honduras.
