Welcome to the fall issue of DVIQ. It
has been an honor and privilege to
serve as guest editor. I am excited to
share with you the articles printed in
this edition.
We begin by remembering the life of
a pioneer in our field who recently
passed away. Dr. Abraham Nemeth
passed away on October 2nd, 2013.
I want to pay tribute to his service and impact on
our field by reprinting a timeless interview that he
gave to Caryn Navy. This article was printed in
the Future Reflections Special Issues: A Celebration of Braille. We thank your colleagues at the
National Federation of the Blind for allowing us to
pay tribute to Dr. Nemeth with this historical account of his life.
