Finally, financial and community support were
seen as key factors for the project's success:
"Without this support, I'm not sure I would
have taken this road of scholarship - this
opportunity also encourages me to give
back to the field and support others in taking a similar path. The cohort model and
twice yearly meetings have been very successful in connecting us with colleagues,
and it is a privilege that we have been so
well supported financially in order to carry
out these activities. The support the model
provides certainly takes a lot of stress off of
having to constantly look for funding to attend enrichment activities that are otherwise
unavailable at some of our universities."
