VIDBE-Q Volume 67 Issue 3 knew about the position. I laughed as I responded to her email. Of course I know about it, it's for Brooklynn. There is currently no one available to come to school and provide her services. I told my professor that I'd love to apply, but I simply cannot leave my classroom mid-year. Or can I? As the next month approached and I was solely in charge of trying to meet her IEP minutes as a classroom teacher that finished a whopping two classes, I realized that the remainder of the school year would be like this. I asked some of my colleagues what they thought about me applying for the job. After a week of debating, I finally asked my boss if there is a possibility for me to apply for this job? She told me to apply. I did and had an interview. The interview team would have to create a unique plan for me in this role as they didn't have a replacement teacher for my classroom. They asked if I would be willing to do both jobs for a bit. Again, I laughed to myself thinking, it's what I've already been doing and how the remainder of the school year would continue if I stayed as the classroom teacher, so of course, I said yes!
