Charles C Thomas Pub Ltd. "When You Can't Believe Your Eyes: Vision Loss and Personal Recovery" was written by Hannah Fairbairn and published in 2019. Fairbairn taught personal management and interpersonal skills at the Carrol Center for the Blind in Massachusetts where she worked for eighteen years. After losing most of her vision in her early thirties, she utilized her own experiences as a person who has a visual impairment, as well as her experiences with other people with visual impairments at the Carroll Center for the Blind, as a background for her book. In this book, she focuses on the process of personal recovery after sight loss. Those who lose their sight later in their lives and those who want to know how to assist persons with vision loss later in life would be most interested in the content of this book.
