Overall, both Terry and Ian's data indicated significant communication delays even when growth was reported. Although the data did not indicate the reason(s) for this beyond the impact of a dual sensory loss, one could speculate the possibility that consistency of service delivery could have alleviated at least some of the delay. Discussion This study attempted to measure the communication development of learners who are DB over time because there is little research in this area.
